10th European Filom Festival starts on 16 May
The 10th European Film Festival #EFF10Barbados runs from 16-29 May at the Olympus Theatres VIP Sheraton and once again the extravaganza is free. This year 22 films are scheduled for screening from 11 European Union Member States, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Malta, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The European Union and its Member States continue to be the world's leading provider of Official Development Assistance (ODA) with an overall amount of €75.7 billion in 2017, confirm the newly released figures by the OECD-DAC.
This amount represents 0.50% of EU Gross National Income (GNI). This is significantly above the 0.21% average of the non-EU members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC), despite a small decrease compared to the previous year.

Anguilla receives Grant Aid from the EU for Education
Eight jurisdictions have been removed from the EU's list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes, following commitments made at a high political level to remedy EU concerns.
Barbados, Grenada, the Republic of Korea, Macao SAR, Mongolia, Panama, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates are moved to a separate category of jurisdictions subject to close monitoring
