The European Union welcomes the “Yemeni-Yemeni consultations”, starting on Monday next week under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and to be hosted in Riyadh.

The European Union thanks the GCC for this initiative as it supports the UN led-efforts to reach an inclusive and lasting political settlement to the conflict in Yemen. We call on and expect all Yemeni parties, including Ansar Allah, to participate and to engage constructively in these consultations – for the benefit of bringing peace and stability back for the people of Yemen.
