EU Ambassador to Singapore Iwona Piórko grew up next to the sea. On Saturday, 18th September, she cleaned a part of the East Coast Beach with her family. On her Twitter (@IwonaPiorkoEU) she wrote: “Today, we clean the beach in the hope that my daughter can enjoy the same #CleanSeas I remember from my childhood.”

Ahead of the #EUBeachCleanup at the invitation of the Estonian Ambassador to Singapore Priit Turk, Ambassador Piórko joined him together with the Dutch Ambassador to Singapore Margriet Vonno for the #WorldCleanUpDay.
