The launch of Erasmus+

The new Erasmus+ programme (2021-2027) was launched on 25 March 2021. Erasmus+ is a world-wide programme, which started over 30 years ago with intra-European projects to boost internationalization across Europe’s borders. Since 2014, Erasmus+ has acknowledged the need to boost internationalization at world level. The previous programme 2014-2020 had a strong international dimension, supporting projects for cooperation or exchange between Europe and the rest of the world. In the current programme 2021-2027, the international dimension of Erasmus+ will be further strengthened, building on the success of the existing key actions and expanding internationalization to other sectors.
