EU and member state ambassadors visit Turkana and Marsabit counties

EU envoys are on a three day visit to the northern Kenya region  to inspect on-going development projects

The European Union and it's member states ambassadors in Kenya are currently on a working visit of Turkana and Marsabit counties in Northern Kenya.

On Thursday 24th October 2019, the ambassadors visited the Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement.

The EU diplomats also visited the Kalobeyei Health Facility, the WFP and FAO commercial agriculture projects and the IFC Kakuma projects. All these projects are funded by the EU and or its Member States and their development agencies.

EU Ambassador to Kenya Simon Mordue said: "I am delighted to see and hear of the positive impact that the EU and member states projects have made in the Kalobeyei refugee settlement, both for the refugees and for the host communities."
