Registrations open — the EU Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique holds a workshop dedicated to the Media

The European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM Mozambique) will hold an exclusive workshop for media professionals on the morning of 2 December and throughout the day on 3 December. The workshop, which will take place at the Mission’s Headquarters in Maputo, aims to introduce the Mission and its different areas of work, contributing to the knowledge of the professionals whose duty is to inform the public.

Over the course of a day and a half, media professionals will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of EUMAM’s mandate, its evolution from the former training mission (EUTM), and its main lines of action, particularly in the areas of military advising, gender, and civil-military cooperation, among others.


The workshop will also include the participation of the Delegation of the European Union to Mozambique.

Morning of 2 December

08:30–09:00 – Arrival and registration

09:00–09:30 – Opening remarks by the EUMAM MOZ Force Commander

09:30–10:40 – Presentation of EUMAM: mission, history, and transition from EUTM to the military assistance mandate

11:00–12:00 – Technical session on advising & mentoring

End of the first day.

 

3 December

09:00–10:40 – Specialised training

11:00–12:00 – Communication and EUMAM

12:00–14:00 – Lunch

14:00–14:30 – Civil-military cooperation (CIMIC)

14:30–15:30 – Presentation by the Delegation of the European Union to Mozambique

15:30–16:00 – Closing remarks by the EUMAM MOZ Force Commander
