MPCC delegation visits EUMAM MOZ
After meeting with the Deputy Mission Force Commander of EUMAM MOZ, Colonel Vesa Laitonen, the delegation was briefed on the work being carried out by the mission and interacted with some of EUMAM MOZ personnel to exchange knowledge, experiences and information.
The MPCC delegation had the opportunity to visit the Katembe training camp and the two Quick Impact Projects (QIP) that were implemented in the past, one by Austria, an ammunition depot, and another by Luxemburg, a Role 1 Medical Facility.
Finalising their visit to Maputo, the delegation had a meeting with the European Union Delegation in Mozambique.

This visit played a key role in reaffirming our mutual commitment to peace, security and development. It is also a clear example of the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties and commitment to Mozambique.
The MPCC oversees EU military missions, providing a centralised command that bridges the tactical activities of military forces with the political oversight of EU decision-makers. This function is crucial because, in many cases, military operations need to adapt quickly to rapidly changing ground realities—whether in training or crisis management.
