Mozambican military do the final exercise of the Train-the-Trainers in Katembe
EUMAM MOZ planned and conduct a programme of refreshment under the Train-the-Trainers programme of the Quick Reaction Forces (QRF), destinated to the Marines and Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) trainers, respectively from the Mozambican Navy and the Mozambican Air Force. The aim is to support the planning and conduct of a Refresher Training Course to keep Mozambican trainers already certified by the previous European Union Training Mission in Mozambique (EUTM MOZ) and from the three branches of the FADM up to date, in order to improve their ability to conduct the next QRF Training Cycles (Army/Navy/Air Force) independently.
Thus, on 4 July, the certification and validation phase begun for the trainers who participated in the QRF Train-the-Trainers refresher programme, culminating with today`s exercise, an amphibious operation at the Katembe beach, with the arrival of a Marine Corps force, supported by TACP elements that use Unmanned Systems to recognize the landing site and provide support, with the aim of capturing an insurgent checkpoint and hostile elements.
