Mozambican military concluded Management Maintenance Programme
The 29 military personnel, that participated in the programme, received today their certificates of conclusion. Now, fully qualified to assume leadership roles within the FADM`s workshop maintenance centres, the participant military thanked the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) for the time spent with them, specially in order to understand all the programme content.
Leading the ceremony was the EUMAM MOZ Commander, Brigadier General Luís Barroso, Colonel Elias Mataruca, Director of the FADM Logistics Department, Colonel Henrique João Sopa and the Chief of the Advisory Group, Navy Captain Pais Neto.
European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique, 2025
The Maintenance Management Programme, developed in close collaboration between EUMAM MOZ and the Logistics Department of the FADM, was designed to enhance the effectiveness of maintenance management within the military. The primary objective is to ensure the long-term sustainability and proper upkeep of the equipment and assets provided by the European Union to the FADM. In doing so, the programme seeks to guarantee the highest possible levels of equipment availability and operational readiness.
EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission, with a mandate until June 2026 and focusses on the operational training cycle and maitenance, while also conducting specialised training to enable the FADM to be self-sufficient in fighting the insurgeny.
