Maputo, Mozambique - Military personnel from the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) took part on Sunday morning in a beach cleanup at Costa do Sol, in Maputo. The initiative was organised by the Maputo City Council as part of the celebrations for Africa Day, commemorated annually on 25 May.

The activity, which also included a tree planting initiative, brought together Mozambican volunteers, municipal workers, members of the security forces, and EUMAM MOZ personnel, including Brigadier General Luís Barroso, the Mission Commander. In total, around 10 tonnes of waste were collected.
