Welcomed by the EUMAM MOZ Mission Force Commander, Brigadier General Luís Barroso, the Indian military entity got to know more about the EUMAM MOZ`s context, objectives and the work it has been developing in the last months with the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM). This visit reflects the good relations and collaboration between institutions.

European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique, 2025

EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate until June 2026 and focuses on the operational cycle and maintenance, while also carrying out specialised training to enable the FADM to be self-sufficient in the fight against insurgency. This European Union mission is currently commanded by Brigadier General Luís Barroso, from the Portuguese Army, and has 83 military personnel from 11 nationalities.
