Working in close coordination with the rest of the staff, it plays a key role in gathering and analysing essential information to support the Commander in making well-informed decisions that are fully aligned with the needs of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM). 

To achieve this, the J7 branch is tasked with planning, conducting, and monitoring all training exercises while also assessing the specific training requirements of the FADM.

Knowledge Management Mechanism  

Another crucial function of the J7 branch is establishing a robust monitoring and knowledge management mechanism. This is achieved by developing a dedicated network to systematically assess and integrate all inputs derived from the operational environment. By doing so, J7 ensures that the process of enabling knowledge flow to enhance shared understanding, learning and decision making.

Mobile Training Teams  

Last but certainly not least, the management of Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) in support of the FADM represents another fundamental pillar of the J7 branch.  

MTTs are highly specialised teams capable of delivering targeted expertise and hands-on training directly on-site. The entire process related to requests, coordination, planning, execution, and oversight of MTT activities falls under the responsibility of this sector within the J7 branch. Through their expertise, MTTs contribute significantly to strengthening the operational readiness and self-sufficiency of FADM.
