Maputo, Mozambique – Colonel Vesa Laitonen, from the Finish Army, has completed his participation on the European Union Military Assistance in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) where he served as Chief of Staff and Deputy Mission Force Commander.

Leaving his testimony the Colonel shared the ideas that he will take after six months in Mozambique, highlighting three words that resume his experience.

“If i have to describe my six months period here, in three words would say that was: fascinating, because this is totally a new environment with new people and a new area...Africa is a wonderful continent; is also surprising, because here in Mozambique anything can happen any day; and maybe the third word will be convinced, because now i concretely seen that european nations can work together with shared values to the same goal, and everything will go very smoothly”.
