EUMAM MOZ attends ceremony marking the anniversary of the Armistice

Maputo, Mozambique - A delegation from the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ), led by Mission Force Commander, Commodore César Pires Correia, attended today the ceremony commemorating the Armistice of 11 November 1918, held at the French Embassy in Mozambique. 

On this occasion, the French Ambassador, Yann Pradeau, opened the ceremony, followed by the reading of a message from the French Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans, Catherine Vautrin, dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the end of the First World War. 

The event continued with a ceremony of remembrance for the fallen, marked by reflection, respect, and collective memory. 

The Armistice of 11 November 1918 marks the end of the First World War, symbolising the cessation of hostilities and the beginning of a path towards reconciliation among nations.
