EUMAM MOZ and FADM: building capacity together for a stronger future.

23.06.2025 EUMAM Mozambique

Maputo, Mozambique – In the preparation of the laboratory for the Administrative Command Elements (ACE) Programme, provided by the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) to the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM), we found a very special story that shows the power of combination between effort and partnership.

Since childhood, Major Artur Zita dreamed of flying. Born and raised in Maputo, he was always driven by a strong determination to reach higher. This dream led him to join the Military Academy and later to fulfil it in the service of the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces (FADM) as a pilot.

Today, years after achieving this goal, Major Zita continues to contribute to strengthening the capabilities of the FADM. He recently participated in a new workshop integrated into the ACE programme, promoted by the European Union Military AEUMAM MOZ. This workshop, developed by the entire class of FADM military personnel accompanied by EUMAM MOZ military personnel, is more than just a technical exercise: it is a concrete investment in the modernisation of the FADM's command structure and administrative efficiency.
