Bela Vista, Mozambique – Children’s Day was marked by smiles, games, and acts of solidarity at the São Roque Mission Orphanage, in an initiative led by the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ). The Mission promoted a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activity through the donation of food and a morning of engaging activities with the children living at the institution — an unforgettable day for all involved.

The event took place this Sunday morning and saw the active participation of members of EUMAM MOZ and the Mozambique Defence Armed Forces (FADM). The morning was filled with playful activities designed especially to bring joy and create happy memories for the children, including painting and traditional games.

The São Roque Mission Orphanage, located in Bela Vista, Matutuíne, currently houses around 50 orphaned or vulnerable children. The coordinator of the institution, Sister Antónia, highlighted the importance of such initiatives: “These visits bring life to our institution and help us break away from our routine.”
