On International Women’s Day 2025, the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) proudly reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and its support to the advancement of women and girls in all aspects of society.

This year’s theme, #AccelerateAction, highlights that meaningful progress occurs when we come together with dedication and a shared commitment to change. At EUMA, we continue to uphold the principles of gender equality, as outlined in the EU’s core values and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda. This year we also celebrate the 25^th anniversary of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. Over the past year, we have strengthened our engagement with local communities and continued our unwavering support for gender equality and human rights. These efforts are part of a broader mission to ensure that inclusion, diversity, and respect remain at the heart of everything we do.

While challenges remain, every step we take—whether through community engagement, reporting, or advocacy—brings us closer to a world where opportunities are truly equal. Let us use this day as a moment of reflection and motivation—to inspire inclusion, champion equality, and accelerate the progress we all wish to see.
