EUMA Celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda

On October 6, 2025, the mission headquarters hosted a gathering to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda. The event brought together Armenian civil society organizations focused on gender equality to discuss the progress and challenges of integrating gender perspectives into peace and security efforts.

The day began with a dynamic discussion on the impact of the WPS Agenda in Armenia, where EUMA’s MMs and civil society experts shared insights on women’s roles in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and policy advocacy.

Following the discussion, a networking lunch organized by Women’s Agenda provided an opportunity for continued discussion between EUMA and participants.

As we reflect on the 25th anniversary of the WPS Agenda, it’s important to remember that this milestone is not just a celebration, but a call to action. The work of advancing gender equality is ongoing, and the conversations sparked at this event are just the beginning of what we hope will be a sustained and growing movement.
