Under the EU-funded Red Sea Project, EUCAP Somalia’s Field Office Puntland hosted and supported a four-day mentoring session led by INTERPOL on illegal fisheries for Puntland law enforcement agencies. The event emphasized the importance of coordination and inter-agency cooperation in strengthening fisheries crime enforcement. EUCAP contributed with a presentation on the legal framework for combatting fisheries crimes, highlighting key international and national mechanisms.
