Strengthening the Structural Capacities of the Internal Security Forces

EUCAP Sahel Mali Supports and Assists Training Programs Aimed at Building Human Resource Skills

Following the HR workshop on Awareness and Capacity Building in HR, held at the Peacekeeping School last January, a training session took place from February 24 to 28 at the DRH/MSPC headquarters.

This session was the subject of a feedback exercise (Retex). The activity had a dual purpose: on one hand, to gather lessons learned and, beforehand, to equip the DRH officers with the necessary tools to quickly deploy training activities in the regions, focusing on the effective implementation of the legislative texts governing the Security Forces under the supervision of the MSPC.

Thanks to this initiative, 20 officers, including eight women, were trained from the group of participants in the aforementioned workshop. Supervised by two experts from the DRH, the Senior HR Advisor, and the HR Trainer from the Mission, they received extensive training in career management, and, where applicable, the promotion process.

Through this action EUCAP Mission Sahel Mali, reaffirms its strategic commitment to s structural strengthening of Internal Security Forces and a more effective and efficient human resources management model.
