EUCAP Sahel Mali and partners discuss capacity building measures for internal security forces

EUCAP Sahel Mali visited the management of the Police, Gendarmerie, and Etat-Major schools to discuss current and upcoming training activities. 

The Head of Operations of EUCAP Sahel Mali, accompanied by the Head of the Press and Public Information Office and a train the trainer expert visited the management of the Police, Gendarmerie, and Etat-Major schools. The discussion focused on current and upcoming training activities.

Capacity building is a key component of EUCAP Sahel Mali's mandate, and the training institutions are essential partners in this effort. Regular dialogue and collaboration are therefore crucial for the development of tailored workshops that meet specific needs.

EUCAP Sahel Mali organises around 90 training sessions each year with the three schools, as well as with the Crisis Coordination and Management Centre, the Directorate-General for Technical and Scientific Police, the Directorate of Human Resources and civil society, with an average of more than 2,000 participants. The training courses cover a wide range of topics, including community policing, training of trainers, office automation, criminal investigations, human rights, gender and ethics.
