EUAM RCA supported the launch of the 2026 Judicial Police Officer (OPJ) training at the École Nationale de Police, alongside the National Police and international partners including MINUSCA.
At the request of the Director General of the National Police, EUAM RCA contributed to the design and implementation of this programme, which will train 150 OPJs in 2026, beginning with 100 officers in this first session.
Judicial Police Officers play a decisive role in the criminal justice chain. Their ability to conduct professional and lawful investigations directly impacts the effectiveness of prosecutions, the protection of procedural safeguards and the credibility of security institutions.
Strengthening this capacity contributes to:
-
More reliable and efficient investigations
-
Reduced case backlogs
-
Greater respect for due process
-
Increased public confidence in law enforcement
For the Central African Republic, this means stronger institutions and improved security for citizens.
Through financial and technical support provided by the European Union, EUAM RCA continues to accompany national authorities in reinforcing investigative capacities — building on similar support to the National Gendarmerie — and advancing sustainable police reform and rule of law.
