EUAM Iraq Head of Mission Christoph Buik had the pleasure to brief and address the European Parliament and the European Parliament Subcommittee on Security and Defence on the Mission’s efforts in developing effective, sustainable and accountable civilian security institutions in Iraq.

Despite the challenging circumstances and deteriorated operational context, the Mission has been able to adapt to the constantly evolving environment and ensure a good degree of business continuity. The Parliament acknowledged the Mission’s important mandate and work in the field of civilian SSR.
