European Union observers are present for the reception of electoral material

The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) has completed the printing of approximately eight million ballots to be used in the upcoming general elections scheduled for August 17.

The material has already begun to be distributed to the nine Departmental Electoral Tribunals (TED) across the country, and ballots have also been sent to the 22 countries where Bolivian citizens living abroad are eligible to vote.

International observers from the European Union Electoral Observation Mission Bolivia 2025 are following the reception of electoral material in the Departmental Electoral Tribunals (TED) of all nine departments.

In total, 35,253 electoral kits are expected to be prepared—34,026 for domestic use and 1,227 for voting abroad. Each kit corresponds to a polling station, with each station in Bolivia averaging 240 registered voters, and 320 abroad.

The assembly of these electoral kits is expected to conclude next week, with distribution to polling centers set to take place between August 10 and 17 under strict chain-of-custody protocols.

Each kit also contains the polling station number, the surnames of the assigned personnel, a list of electoral materials, the voter roll, pens, markers, ink and other supplies.

The TSE reported that key tasks remain in the electoral schedule, such as the final publication of the voter roll and the substitution of disqualified candidates.

The electoral roll includes 7,937,138 eligible Bolivian voters, both domestic and abroad.
