About the Mission
The European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) was invited to Zambia by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) and the Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was asked to conduct a long-term election observation and prepare an impartial analysis about the full process of the Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council elections, scheduled for 11 August 2016.
