On September 16-22, the EU together with the Georgian Association for Safe Roads, Tbilisi City Hall and the United Nations celebrated European Mobility Week in Georgia. The theme of 2020 was ‘Zero-emission mobility for all’, highlighting health and environmental benefits of walking more, cycling more, using public transport and choosing zero-emission modes of transportation. By being physically active, we improve our health and reduce pollution and noise in our cities. The week was celebrated with TV appearances, a social media campaign, and a “Car Free Day” in Tbilisi where one of the main streets of Tbilisi was closed for bicyclists.
