Women coders break up gender boundaries in Libya

Promoting equal opportunities for women and men is an important element of EU development assistance. In Libya, the European Union works with entrepreneurs, business start-ups and NGOs to increase women participation in the labour market and strengthen their economic independence. Entering a traditionally male dominated sector, a group of aspiring female entrepreneurs from Benghazi participated in an intensive boot camp to learn how to code and programme.
