A RCA European Union Training Mission team, led by the Force Commander - Brigadier General Cornel TONEA-BĂLAN, has participated to a joint sporting march in the morning of Thursday – 28th December 2023, in the capital Bangui.

“The sport of officers” is annually organized and managed by the Central African National Army Sports Directorate.

Under the direct supervision of the Minister of National Defense and the Reconstruction of the Army, mister Rameaux-Claude BIREAU, this event has emphasized the cohesion and brotherhood between Central African Security Defense Forces (Central African Armed Forces, National Gendarmerie, National Police, Waters and Forests, Customs) on the one hand, and with the international military partners (EUTM RCA and MINUSCA) on the other hand.

Thus, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security through this moment of solidarity, have committed themselves to establish a strong partnership with their friends, putting at the heart of this work a new joint directive on the Peace and Security Action Fund.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Zéphirin MAMADOU, welcomed this frenzy between forces and called for this newly developed cooperation to be implemented on the ground, to improve the effectiveness and credibility of forces working together as "an expression of strength, solidarity and fraternal affection". He also expressed his wish that "2024 will be a year of peace in the Central African Republic".
