On 28th October 2020, the Makueni Fruit Processing Plant, jointly financed with the European Union Delegation in Kenya, started processing tomatoes. The European Union Ambassador to Kenya, Mr Simon Mordue, and the Governor of Makueni County poured in the first batch.
