Victims of crimes must be protected, and perpetrators held accountable. July 17 marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute, the founding treaty of the International Criminal Court - ICC, set to bring justice to the victims of the most serious crimes for the international community. The EU reaffirms its unwavering support to the ICC, resolved to stand the Rome Statute and the Court’s independence, and encourages all States to collaborate with it.
