The overall objective of this action is to promote Vietnam CSO-led actions to improve access to quality and gender responsive health care services for marginalized groups in ethnic and rural areas of Vietnam.  It will focus on strengthening the capacity, participation, and initiatives of local CSOs and their representative networks, enabling them to contribute more effectively to improving access to and quality of reproductive healthcare (SRH) services.

The action will also improve the responsiveness of healthcare policies and services to meet the essential needs of marginalized and vulnerable groups, especially ethnic minority women and youth in two districts: Krong Bong district in Dak Lak province and Lam Ha district in Lam Dong province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. It brings the marginalized and vulnerable communities’ voices into the policy making process, at the level of formulation, implementation and monitoring at district level and national level, through representation by actively engaged CSOs and CSO networks.

The action aims to reach 95,320 final beneficiaries (equivalent to 60% of district population who are young people and women) who will understand their SRHRs and have access to quality and gender responsive sexual and reproductive healthcare (SRH).

Result 1: Local CSOs and networks that represent them have capacity to effectively contribute to the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) policy and programming at commune, district, provincial, and national levels.

Result 2: CSO-led SRH clinic model significantly improves access for vulnerable women and youth to quality and gender responsive SRH services in rural and ethnic areas.

Result 3: Enhanced communication and cooperation between CSOs, the media, and national, provincial, district, and local authorities in provision of SRH services to marginalized communities in rural and ethnic areas
