The European Development Days (EDDs) bring the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. "Addressing inequalities: building a world which leaves no one behind" is the overarching theme at this year's EDDs. Have you registered? If yes, come visit the EEAS while you’re there, we have an interesting screening session prepared for you!

This year, the EEAS will once again be present at this important event. Activities that are being prepared are:

High-Level Panels

  • A EEAS High-Level Panel, in partnership with EPLO on Power, resources & participation: addressing inequalities for sustainable peace: Ensuring access to resources, decision-making and participation for peace and development (19 June, 18:00-19:30)
  • A Large Debate on Getting it right for children: Meaningful participation and equal opportunities. Engage for equal opportunities: how to empower children to reduce inequalities and be real agents of change (18 June, 13:30)

LAB Sessions

  • "Defending full enjoyment of Human Rights for Indigenous peoples" in collaboration with Protect Defenders and Internal Land Coalition
  • "Inequality of Opportunity: Non-Discrimination"
  • "How to stimulate a debate on common values with a broader population"

Cluster Stand (stand number 65)

And, last but not least, in the Global Village, a cluster stand EU and ME: for a world where we are one - which should be the cornerstone of our visibility - encompassing 4 topics:

  • Fighting for the universal respect for equality and non-discrimination
  • Right to water
  • EU Assistance for mine action
  • EU Building Networks Worldwide

EDD 2019 will take place on 18-19 June 2019 at Tour & Taxis in Brussels, Belgium.
