New cooperation opportunities for Indian researchers and innovators with Europe

30.12.2019

New cooperation opportunities for Indian researchers and innovators with Europe are now available, under the EU Research and Innovation programme ‘Horizon 2020’.

A call for proposals for a  Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action MSCA-RISE-2020  allows the opportunity to create an international network of experts to expand and exchange knowledge on any research and innovation project.

WHAT IS IT?The Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) funds and supports short-term mobility of research and innovation staff at all career levels, from the most junior (post-graduate) to the most senior (management), including also administrative and technical staff. It is open to partnerships of academic and non-academic sectors (in particular SMEs), based in Europe (Member States (MS) /Associated Countries to Horizon 2020 (AC)) and in Third Countries (TC).

The objective of the RISE scheme is to promote international and cross-sector collaboration through exchanging research and innovation staff and sharing knowledge and ideas from research to market (and vice-versa). The scheme fosters a shared culture of research and innovation that welcomes and rewards creativity and entrepreneurship and helps to turn creative ideas into innovative products, services or processes. This tool is thus, amongst others, very relevant to foster cooperation on innovation as it allows for exchange of staffamong incubators.
