Tourists were spread all over the 7,000 islands of the Philippine archipelago and they needed to reach the international airports to be able to go back home.

The EU Delegation to the Philippines worked hand in hand with Member States to get around 2,600 tourists back home. The Embassies of Germany, Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland and Austria played a crucial role in returning Europeans safely back to their countries.
