ЄС подовжує санкції, запроваджені у зв’язку з діями, що підривають територіальну цілісність України, ще на півроку

10 вересня 2020 року Рада ЄС вирішила подовжити чинні санкції проти осіб та організацій, що продовжують підривати територіальну цілісність, суверенітет та незалежність України, або загрожують їм, ще на півроку — до 15 березня 2021 року.

Згадані санкції передбачають обмеження на в’їзд до ЄС та замороження активів. Вони залишатимуться в силі щодо 175 осіб і 44 організацій.

Рада ЄС ухвалила це рішення за письмовою процедурою. Відповідні правові акти будуть опубліковані в Офіційному віснику ЄС 11 вересня.

Контекст

Обмежувальні заходи у зв’язку з діями, що підривають територіальну цілісність, суверенітет та незалежність України, були запроваджені 17 березня 2014 року.

Інші обмежувальні заходи ЄС у відповідь на кризу в Україні включають економічні санкції проти окремих галузей російської економіки (наразі чинні до 31 січня 2021 року) та індивідуальні обмежувальні заходи у відповідь на незаконну анексію Криму і Севастополя, обмежені територією Криму та Севастополя (наразі чинні до 23 червня 2021 року).

Рада ЄС постійно переглядає та періодично оновлює список осіб та організацій, проти яких задіяні санкції.

***Ukraine: EU extends sanctions against violations of territorial integrity for a further 6 months

The Council today decided to extend the sanctions targeting persons and entities that continue to undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, for a further 6 months, until 15 March 2021.

The existing restrictive measures provide for both travelling restrictions and the freezing of assets, and will continue to apply to 175 persons and 44 entities.

The decision was adopted by the Council by written procedure. The legal acts will be published in the Official Journal on 11 September 2020.

Background

Restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine were first introduced on 17 March 2014.

Other EU measures in place in response to the crisis in Ukraine include economic sanctions targeting specific sectors of the Russian economy, currently in place until 31 January 2021, and restrictive measures in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol, limited to the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, currently in place until 23 June 2021.
