In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the EU Programme for Local Development and Employment is demonstrating the continued support of the European Union to flood-affected localities, as well as EU endeavour to move from recovery to socio-economic development. EU support to all levels of society across the region is critical to enhancing the stability and development of the Western Balkans, as well as their European integration.
The European Union is committed to continue to deliver strong support to the peace process in Colombia, together with the United Nations, using political and diplomatic means but also by supporting human rights defenders and investing in rural reform, the reincorporation of ex-guerrillas into civilian life, crime prevention and justice.
The 5th African Union–European Union (AU-EU) Summit, will take place in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire, on 29-30 November 2017 and has "Investing in Youth for a Sustainable Future" as its overarching theme. At this first summit with all AU members, two political partners will meet to cover all aspects of their partnership. Ahead of the summit, 1500 business leaders and decision-makers are gathering on 27 November for the 6th EU-Africa business forum.
