On Monday, 5th of December, the 16th Eastern Partnership (EaP) Platform 1 meeting took place in Brussels in order to discuss the EU's engagement with the EaP partners on the issues related to Democracy, Good Governance and Stability.

The event brought together over 200 representatives of the civil society organisations from the six Eastern Partnership countries and the EU, representatives of EaP governments, EU Member States, and EU Institutions

The meeting was chaired by Directorate General Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, was attended by six Eastern Partnership countries, Member States, EEAS, DG TRADE, DG ENV and CLIMA, DG MOVE, DG CNETC, DG NEAR, and international partners.

The Informal Eastern Partnership (EaP) dialogue taking place on 17 November in Yerevan, Armenia brought together EU Commissioners Johannes Hahn and Carlos Moedas and the EEAS Deputy Secretary General Jean-Christophe Belliard and the Ministers and high level officials of the EaP partner countries for a high-level exchange on future developments in the Eastern Partnership and key areas of cooperation

On 27-28 October the Eastern Partnership Youth Conference “Youth for Rights” took place in Bratislava, Slovakia

Productive Eastern Partnership Panel on cooperation in the area of Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) convened for the 7th time in Brussels on 14 October 2016. It gathered some 60 representatives from all six Eastern Partners (EaP) countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, R. of Moldova, and Ukraine), EU institutions (EEAS, DG NEAR, the European Parliament, and the European Economic and Social Committee) and EU Member States. The Panel was chaired by Crisis Management and Planning Directorate – Ms Clara Ganslandt, Head of Common Security Defence Policy, Partnerships and Agreements Division.

The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint initiative involving the EU, its Member States and six Eastern European Partners: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
