The Republic of Moldova has advanced with the implementation of some reforms, but further action is still required for its citizens to reap the full benefits of the Association Agreement.


In line with the revised European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), this report sets out the state of play of the commitments of the Republic of Moldova (hereinafter Moldova) under the EU-Moldova Association Agreement since the last meeting of the EU-Moldova Association Council on 31 March 2017 and ahead of its next meeting of 3 May 2018.

The European Union is Ukraine's partner in building a stronger, fairer, more democratic country through reforms, and firmly supports the Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini stressed during an official visit to Kyiv on 12 March 2018.

The CSDP training programme for officials from the Eastern Partnership countries ended last week in Tbilisi with the certificate award ceremony. 19 of the initial 28 'students' received the document, which is signed by the High Representative Federica Mogherini and recognised in all 28 EU Member States.

As negotiations advance on a new agreement to boost cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan, leaders met in Brussels to discuss the bilateral relationship as well as cooperation within the Eastern Partnership initiative.
