Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are European countries not part of the EU
The EU is supportive of all efforts aimed at the prevention of the use of chemical weapons and it reiterates that there can be no other solution to the Syrian conflict than a political one, read a declaration by the High Representative Federica Mogherini on behalf of the EU issued after targeted US, French and UK airstrikes on chemical weapons facilities in Syria. The EU was informed about the strikes conducted with the sole objective to prevent further use of chemical substances as weapons by the Syrian regime to kill its own people.
The Republic of Moldova has advanced with the implementation of some reforms, but further action is still required for its citizens to reap the full benefits of the Association Agreement, according to the joint report released on 5 April by the European External Action Service and the European Commission.
The EU and its 28 Member States stand united in their strong condemnation of the recent illegal use of a Russian chemical nerve agent against individuals in Salisbury, UK. They expressed unqualified solidarity with the UK and agreed to coordinate on the consequences and next steps, which have so far included the expulsion of Russian diplomats in 17 EU countries.
"We believe that creating possibilities for women helps them to realise their potential and believe in their abilities,” the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kestutis Jankauskas says.
Four years following the illegal occupation of Crimea, the EU reiterates its condemnation of Russia's violations of international law and strong commitment to Ukraine's territorial integrity.
