Bringing Farmers to the Table: Agriculture, Climate, Economy and Equity

09/09/2020 - 20:15
Online activities

As the world plans to re-emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, EU and US leaders are working to ensure that environmental justice is central to the recovery. With agricultural systems accounting for nearly one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions, the success of climate action policies depends on more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable agriculture, soil policies and food supply chains. Ahead of Climate Week NYC, please join the European Union and The Nature Conservancy for a conversation with transatlantic policy and business leaders to discuss how the EU's recently released Farm to Fork Strategy and the bipartisan Growing Climate Solutions Act in the US could accelerate the growth of sustainable agriculture solutions and innovative technologies as part of a climate-resilient transition.

  • Michael Curtis, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to the U.S.
