The Delegation of the European Union in Zambia is also responsible for managing official relations between the European Union (EU) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa - COMESA.
The fifth African Union - European Union (AU-EU) summit will take place on 29-30 November 2017 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. 2017 is a defining year for EU-Africa relations, as it has been ten years since the adoption of the joint Africa-EU Strategy.
On November 29-30, African and European Heads of State will meet in Abidjan for the 5th AU-EU Summit to discuss the priorities for the partnership between the two continents for the years to come. The overarching theme will be “Investing in Youth” and ensuring an active and meaningful inclusion of young people in the run-up and at the Summit is a given.
