The EU Liaison Office in Turkmenistan, in close cooperation with the EU-funded project "Border Management in Central Asia Program (BOMCA), Phase 9" hosted in its premises on 6 November 2017 an award ceremony for the participants of the children drawing contest with a theme "Border cooperation/border guards".
A round table meeting took place in Ashgabat on 2 November 2017 to inform the local business sector of transport and logistics on the launch of a new EU-funded regional project "Strengthening transport and logistics Business Intermediary Organizations (BIOs) in Central Asia". Representatives of the project implementer Centre for Entrepreneurship and Executive development - Bulgaria (CEED), discussed and exchanged with Turkmen partners, represented by the General Secretary of the Turkmen Association of International Road Carriers (THADA), Mr Bekmyrat Eyeberdiyev, innovative practices and approaches for improving supply chain management, and discussed how Turkmenistan currently manages transporting products within the supply chain, as well as existing opportunities and barriers to development.
The general objective of this call for proposals is to support civil society in its actions to support the protection and the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms worldwide. The specific objectives of this call for proposals are to support civil society and human rights defenders working outside the EU in five key areas of human rights corresponding to the five recurring lots of 2014-2017 EIDHR global calls for proposals. Deadline for submission of concept notes is on 9 November 2017 at 16:00 (Brussels date and time).
