The project is being implemented by the National Commission for Rural Development and the National Institute for Agricultural Research, and is mainly financed by the EU's EUROCLIMA + programme.

 

Ambassador Karl-Otto König participated today together with the Minister of Livestock, Agriculture & Fisheries, Carlos Uriarte, and the Minister of Housing, Territorial Planning & Environment, Irene Moreira, in the launch of the "Resilient Family Farming" project at the Executive Tower.

The project seeks to strengthen local, national and regional capacities to increase resilience to climate change and improve the effectiveness of agricultural and livestock production systems with respect to carbon and water and food value chains in accordance with their commitments, by sector, to the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The project is being implemented by the National Commission for Rural Development (CNFR) and the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA), and is mainly financed by the EU's EUROCLIMA + programme.

Both Minister Uriarte and Minister Moreira expressed their commitment to the success of the project.
