Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Vietnam?

 

What we offer?

A traineeship of 5 months within the Trade and Economic Section of the EU Delegation to Vietnam, starting as from 1st June 2019.

The Trade and Economic Section is a small and dynamic section within the EU Delegation to Vietnam that deals with trade and economic relations between the EU and Vietnam. With the upcoming implementation of the EU and Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, bilateral trade and investment relations are expected to boost. The trainee will support the work of the section on the tasks below. 

Main tasks

  • Participate in meetings with relevant stakeholders (governmental and/or business) and draft reports.
  • Carry out analysis on trade and economic trends between the EU and Vietnam.
  • Collect and process trade, economic and investment data.
  • Collect and analyse information on trade-related legislation in Vietnam.
  • Support the section in promotion and visibility activities related to the FTA.
  • Assist in the preparation and definition of trade-related projects.

 

Additional requirements that would be an asset

  • Knowledge of Vietnamese could be an asset
  • Additional degree in another field

Important information

Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid traineeship)

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.

Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
