The day started with a warm greeting by the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic Uzbekistan Charlotte Adriaen. She recalled that on this day in 1950, the idea was launched to create a space of peace and solidarity, which developed into the European Union. And that solidarity is still at work – the European Union is united to combat the COVID crisis, develop a vaccine and help other vulnerable countries and people throughout a world. “For me – European Union means solidarity. And what does it mean for you?” asked Ambassador.
On the eve of the Europe Day we addressed the question "What does the European Union mean to you?" to people of Uzbekistan working in various fields. So, what does it mean? Watch it!
The same day in the evening the biggest screen of the capital of Uzbekistan demonstrated video marking Europe Day, and colouring the building to the blue.
Residents can enjoy the scene every evening during the month.
