The International Conference "25 years of EU-Central Asia relations: from the past to the future" is taking place on 22-23 February 2018 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The conference marks the 25th Anniversary of steady cooperation between the EU and Central Asia.
The event gathered more than 150 participants from EU and Central Asian countries, including civil servants, representatives of the diplomatic corps, opinion leaders, international experts, civil society, business associations, international organizations and the media.
The business program of the conference includes the work of plenary sessions, panel discussions, technical sessions, where participants will discuss bilateral and regional ties in the political, economic, trade and project spheres and prospects for future partnership and expansion of relations; general security challenges for the EU and Central Asian countries: the human dimension of security; gender equality and human development; a new generation of partnership agreements with the EU: trade and business; a new EU strategy for Central Asia and other issues.
In addition, during the two days of the conference, the photo exhibition "EU-Central Asia Cooperation in Faces" will be held.
