European Day of Languages celebrated in Uzbekistan

On September 24, 2021, the traditional "European Day of Languages" was organized at the Uzbek State University of World Languages.

The event was attended by the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan Charlotte Adriaen, Swiss Ambassador to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky, Georgian Ambassador Alexander Kipiani, Assistant to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany A. Volken and Cultural and Cooperation Adviser to the French Embassy Laurent Oriol and others. The event was opened by the rector of UzSUWL Ulugbek Azizov.

The embassies set up stands with exhibitions and posters dedicated to the culture and history of countries, and provided participants with detailed information on study opportunities at universities in various fields.

During the event, the winners of the French language competition organized by the French Embassy in Uzbekistan were awarded. In addition, a musical program in foreign languages ​​prepared by students of the faculties was presented.
