The European Month of Culture (EUMoC) brings the best of European culture to Washington, DC during the entire month of May – including the flagship EU Open House (May 12), when the 28 European Union embassies and the European Union Delegation open their doors to the public.

On Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, join the 28 countries of the European Union and the EU Delegation to the United States for the European Union Open House. Visitors will get a rare glimpse inside our embassies, experience European national traditions, and interact with our diplomats. It's all for free, with no appointment needed!

European Month of Culture

Now in its 7th year, the European Month of Culture (EUMoC) brings the best of European culture to Washington, DC during the entire month of May. With over 60 musical performances, art exhibits and tours, film screenings, and lectures at venues across the city, there is no better way to illustrate the European tradition of joining forces, than to combine the rich heritage of each European Union Member State into a month of cultural offerings. Most of the events are free, however some do require purchasing a ticket.
