News stories

Americans with a career-related interest in the European Union are invited to apply for the 2019 European Union Visitors Program (EUVP). U.S. government officials (local, state and federal), journalists, academics, and representatives of non-profit and non-governmental organizations are eligible to participate. Participants should be between 30 to 40 years old and have career-related interests in the European Union.

The EUVP contributes to deepening ties between the European Union and the rest of the world. The program provides promising young professionals an opportunity to visit Europe and gain an appreciation of the EU's institutions, policies, values, and people.

As guests of the European Commission and the European Parliament, participants receive an individual 5-8 day study tour in Brussels (in some cases also Strasbourg) tailored to their specific interests and professional profile.

If you would like to see how the EU institutions function and meet some European professional counterparts, learn if you are eligible and apply by April 1, 2018.
