Within the framework of Europe Month 2025, featuring over 80 events across the whole of the UK on 7 May, the EU Delegation to the UK hosted in the heart of Westminster over 500 guests from across the political, diplomatic, and media communities for a vibrant day of unity, friendship, and cooperation.

On 14 May, the EU adopted its Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2025 making over €7.3 billion available to researchers, scientists and businesses across the EU and in its associated countries, including the UK. For this 2025 Work Programme, the UK has widened access to Horizon Europe, including in sensitive areas linked to quantum, space, AI, robotics and connected collaborative computing.

We are delighted to open nominations for the second year of the EmpowerEU Awards, marking Europe Day 2025. Following the success of its inaugural year, the EmpowerEU Awards are back to honour and celebrate the outstanding achievements that improve the lives of EU citizens in the UK and build bridges between our communities.

The EU Delegation to the United Kingdom launched Europe Month 2025 in the vibrant city of Bradford, the UK’s designated City of Culture for 2025. The launch event marked the beginning of a month-long celebration of European culture, creativity, and enduring ties between the EU and the UK.
